Margaret Szymansky formed the Law Office of Margaret Szymansky LLC to provide experienced and personalized representation in estate planning, probate, and trust administration. For over 29 years, attorney Margaret Szymansky has concentrated on her practice in Trust and Probate litigation. Her litigation experience led her to realize that properly drafted estate planning documents could avoid conflicts and the need to litigate estate issues in court. Attorney Margaret Szymansky assists executors, trustees, and personal representatives of the estate, helping them achieve a successful estate closure.
Prior to forming the Law Office of Margaret Szymansky, she worked for a probate and trust litigation firm in Chicago. Her litigation experience culminated in a successful representation in the Illinois Supreme Court, where she secured a ten-million-dollar verdict for her clients. Additionally, she petitioned the United States Supreme Court in a case concerning professional licensure.
Her dedication, leadership, and excellence in legal service have earned her recognition as a distinguished Cambridge member of WHO’s WHO among professionals. She has conducted numerous public seminars and presentations for financial institutions on estate planning and elder law issues. Additionally, she serves in an advisory capacity to nonprofit organizations and dedicates many hours to providing pro bono legal services to them. Attorney Szymansky is an active member of the American Bar Association in the sections of International Law Practice and the Trust and Estate Law Section. She has served on various committees at the Chicago and Illinois State Bar Associations. Attorney Szymansky is a member of the World Law Institute, where she focuses on international business transactions and probate proceedings.
