Margaret Szymansky formed the Law Office of Margaret Szymansky LLC to provide experienced and personalized representation in estate planning, probate, and trust administration. For over 28 years, attorney Margaret Szymansky has concentrated on her practice in Trust and Probate litigation. Her litigation experience made her realize that properly drafted estate planning documents could avoid conflicts and the need to litigate estate issues in a Court of Law. Attorney Margaret Szymansky assists executors, trustees, and personal representatives of the estate, helping them achieve successful closure of the estate.
Prior to forming the Law Office of Margaret Szymansky, she worked for a probate and trust litigation firm in Chicago. Her litigation experience culminated in a successful representation in the Illinois Supreme Court, where she secured a ten-million-dollar verdict for her clients. Additionally, she petitioned the United States Supreme Court in a case concerning professional licensure.
Her dedication, leadership, and excellence in legal service have earned her recognition as a distinguished Cambridge member of WHO’s WHO among professionals. She has conducted numerous seminars for the public and financial institutions on estate planning and elder law issues. Additionally, she serves in an advisory capacity for non-profit organizations and dedicates many hours to providing pro-bono legal services for them. Attorney Szymansky is an active member of the American Bar Association in the Trust and Estate Law Section and has served on various committees at the Chicago and Illinois State Bar Associations
